Jolien Veldwijk is a peacebuilder who has worked in Sudan, Afghanistan, Israel and Palestine. She holds a Master of Science in Conflict Resolution and Governance from the International School of Humanities and Social Sciences in Amsterdam. She has worked with several groups and organisations over the last few years and is currently working for Concordis International. Her recent peacebuilding work has focused on Sudan and she has been involved with peacebuilding conferences between North and South Sudan as well as with different tribes from the Abyei area. At the moment she is working with the Cross-Border Relations Project, a joint effort by Concordis International and the Peace and Development Centre of the University of Juba, aiming to inform local and national peace and development processes, supporting cooperative, secure and economically viable relations across Sudanís North-South border beyond 2011.
